Goooddddddd...Very Gooooooodddd!!!

I am so happy that my loved ones enjoyed their much awaited vacation at our place…hmmm… Was so happy to see my grandpa enjoying every bit of the vacation with so much of enthusiasm than any of us had…Those are moments when we wish that would never go away…Just happiness and only fun and enjoyment…hmm… After my previous post…felt I should share more about my Grandpa…my Appups…What can I tell about him…As you know, at a very young age, he became a widower with 3 daughters and one son who grew up calling him Uncle…Ok, now that cud be confusing to you, right? I can explain...

As you know, from my previous post…my grandma had passed away on the Labour room bed…and the baby was taken out through a c-section…He had only somewhere around 7 months growth and looked nothing less than a frog…and was kept in an incubator…When he was ready to leave hospital, my grandma’s only sister, my mom’s aunt took the responsibility of the baby and grew him up as her own child…That was indeed a big responsibility. He grew with his aunt and uncle as their son…At the age of 11 or 12, during a childish fight between the cousins, one of them shouted back saying… “Why are u calling ur Uncle - father…”…with that incident, my uncle came to know the truth…That the person who he called Uncle was infact his own father and the person who he was calling Father was his Uncle…

My grandpa, till that day, never had expected his own son to call him father anyday…But from that day onwards, he became Daddy for his son…his only son…Even today, for my uncle…he has got two fathers…His real father, Daddy and the person who he grew up with as his Father… I would always salute both those individuals for their selfless love that they showered on my uncle from the day he was born to this very day…Two great Men…

As for my Appups, he is ‘Daddy’ to anybody who knew him…the smaller kids called him Daddy Appuppa and the elders called him Daddy…Indeed, who else cud be a better Daddy..the most loving father I have ever seen…The sacrifices he has made in his life for his children, little can any father do it in today’s world…No wonder, that his children can die for him today…Nobody comes above him in their life even today…My mother and her sisters and brother would fight a Battle for their Daddy…that’s how they are…

I have heard many times, my father grumbling… “For your mother, neither you nor I are important than her Daddy…I wonder, if ever, my children would love me like how your mother love her father…”..True, even I wonder, lol!!!

Another funny thing that my dad always says is about my grandpa’s habit of always being positive…lol!!! I have never seen my grandpa saying bad about anything or anybody…He has this habit of saying… “Goood…” when ever somebody says anything nice… It became such a habit to him that he would end up saying GOOOOOODDDDD even when he wasn’t actually attentive….So it so happened…once during one of his house visit to my place, he met dad who was not feeling well then…So, being his usual self he enquired to dad…

“Hello XXX, How r u…how r u feeling…” (now there’s a very unique tone in which my grandpa says these lines…wish I cud make u listen to tht…)…

“Daddy, I am just ok…but the pain is really bad…but now tht I am taking medicine it should go down…But the pain is not letting me sleep…”

“Ohhh!!! Gooodddd…very Goodddd!!!”

“WHAT??? Goood???”

“Uh!!! I meant good that you are taking medicine.”…

From that day, even now…my father teases my grandpa for saying tht GOOOOOOD…lol!!!

Another hilarious incident about my Appups…he always encourages and appreciates things around him…For the same fact, my mom would happily do any experimental cooking on him..hahaha!!!Once my mom got so inspired by a Cookery Show that she decided to try Green Gram Dosa…Naturally, we were scared to try it, seeing the greenish colour of the Dosa…Poor Appups, he was the unlucky one to try it…I still remember staring at him as he was eating the dosa piece by piece…As amma too was eagerly waiting for a response…

“Daddy, hows it??”

“Uhmm, Very nice…tasty too…”

“Thank you, Daddy…”

“But anyways, don’t make this again…the normal dosa is better…”

Hahahahahaha!!!! Me, my bro and dad who were the witnesses of the incident just broke into a laughter…as Mom stood embarrassed…still, she managed to say…

“Seee, look at my Daddy…he knows to appreciate people’s effort… Not like you people, who can just criticize and never appreciate…That’s why I love doing things for Daddy…Love you Daddy…”

"Goooddddddd!!! Very Gooooooodddd!!!"
