The Beautiful Flight…

Thud!!! The world that was pacing for their life had hit her from behind... And Whooosh! She was swept off her feet...to the space above…the view that crossed past her eyes were vivid…she could feel she was in air…but rolling over all along…Soft and smooth like a creamy cloud in a light breeze…She could feel the thrust on her as she moved to higher altitudes…

Her legs up in the air and hands to the side…she was a bird who had lost control of its flight…and she had no rush to get back in control…as for now, she wanted her fate to drive her through…whatever the path be, whatever the future be, All she wished was to just stay still, till the opposite actions stopped pushing forward…

One second, she could see the sandy beach and the next second the black glittering sky…and another second the fast moving vehicles on the road beside…The view kept flickering…Voices were going dull in her ears and all she heard now was the soothing sound of soft wind…She knew, she has not stopped since the thud…and she wasn’t worried either…All she wanted was to move on…where to, to the eternity…

Ok, now… visions are still…horizontally above the ground…so much high above… As she blinked her eyes, she saw she was facing the stars … They seemed to wink at her and she winked back…Is this eternity? She thought, as her eyes were devouring the beauty above…She liked it this way, with no chains of gravity, she was just floating above the ground in that dark night with just stars to witness her flight…She didn’t wanted to blink anymore, for fear of losing this moment, bcoz the moment was worth any pain in the world…

Her hands were spread away from her body and her legs lying weightless in the air…She was slowly making her descent…She could now feel the pull from low behold …but what she enjoyed more was the push of the hands of the wind… The flight down was not so soft as she went up, but she was trying to adjust herself to make it seamless. Slow and soft…smooth and cool…she was moving down…She had no idea what was below her. All she knew was that she was going down and her flight is almost at the last phase…

Suddenly, she felt a cold splash touching the back of her body. It was sweeping her through ice cold feel and she could feel the wetness of water getting into her body…Aaha, that was the sea…she has just now touched the water, the cold surface of water… She didn’t wanted to move…nor did she want to miss these moments… With a small gulp, the coldness swallowed her. The view above was getting dizzy and clumsy… Now it was just a dark sky, with water all around.

She was not ready to budge. She wanted to scream out, “Awesomeeee!!!”… She was all set now…Her journey is over. She was finally elated with excitement. She is almost there, at the bottom of the unknown eternity. Neither pain nor sorrows, Neither thoughts to disturb nor memories to get nostalgic, Neither friends to pull u off nor enemies to push you down…It was just her now. This was the destiny that she was searching all the while and finally she has discovered it. Or was it the other way round. Did she find it or they found her? Who cares? As long as her flight had taken her to this eternal moment, she was fine…

This was it. This was what she was waiting for. A long difficult journey has now reached its destination and this flight was the best she ever had…the best she cud have ever asked for…She thanked the almighty…for this flight…

A New Hope...A New Promise...

At times, I really wonder is this happening with me…is this something that we usually nickname as Sixth Sense or just coincidence…especially when things that were so close to what I intended to say become a reality..it gives a shiver…The news of the aircrash came in as a shock and today as I am typing this down I have already missed quite some heart beats…

Believe me or not…few days back, I had started typing in some stories of airport and things that have happened during my tenure at an airport years back…Ok, I missed saying that b4..let me update u with that info…I have worked for some years with the passenger service in an airport…during those years, I learnt all the “Behind the Scene Actions” before and after a flight took off and landed…Many of the misconceptions I had as a mere passenger were broken…I understood WHY it was as it was…WHY not it be as we wanted…and so on…

Including myself, had made mistakes in trying to cheat the Airline staffs by taking an extra baggage or excess weight along with us to the aircraft to avoid paying excess baggage…Even when my relatives were travelling a few days back…when I was lecturing them, WHY THEY SHOULD NOT CHEAT ON THE WEIGHT CALCULATIONS, they laughed me off…Little did they know, how much dangerous their one piece of unsurrendered baggage could turn to… They didn’t want to know the Safety and Security hazards it could pose to an aircraft and thereby the passengers…

Anyways, when I was talking to u all abt their excess baggage on my last post, I felt that I should be sharing with u all some of my stories from those days at the Airport and the problems I faced with passengers due Excess Baggage…I had typed a whole post with a few hilarious and funny incidents, but then ended it with a warning of what could happen if we really din’t abide by the safety regulations during an air travel…

For some idiotic reason, I forgot to take the copy of the post with me home and thereby, I couldn’t post it into the blog all these days…Everyday, I thought, 'OK tomorrow, I will do it'…and it just went on …Today, when I came to the office after the week end…and while reading the news papers about the yesterday's crash, I opened the word doc…and the first word that caught my eyes were, the last word of my post…The warning that I wanted to give you all…In bold letters it read ‘An Air Crash’ …

This is a truth…I wouldn’t want to post that anymore…But some day, I will surely share with you all those incidents that happened …not to warn you, but to make you understand WHY IT HAS TO BE THE WAY IT IS….Atleast for some of you, (who had taken a flight atleast once before) it will be new knowledge and could alarm you when you realise the fact that be it unknowingly how big a threat you have been to an air craft and fellow passengers during your flight....

But now, at this point all I want to extend is my heart felt condolences to the family who lost their loved ones in this horrific accident...Praying that the souls of those ill-fated people who left us today may Rest in Peace...In memory of those deceased in the crash …

"Life is a journey.
Death is the continuation of the journey.
Heaven is a temporary rest.
For the commencement and fulfilment
Of a new life, a new hope
And a new promise"

Son, Can I have a lift...

The Hill Resort was just a few kilometers from the city limit…still it took a lot of planning for him and his friends to finally decide to set out on the Trip to the Resort in their bikes…He was on the second year of his college and the idea of a bike trip to the mountain was in his mind from some three months or so…Finally, it was fixed that they would all meet up the next day, early morning before 6 at the Main Bus stop…as planned, the next day, the boy reached the Bus stop by 5.30 early morning…It was still dark…and cold…he waited for more than 15-20 minutes and none of his friends turned up...much irritated, by 0600am, he kick started his bike to go back home to get his sleep…Just then he heard a voice…He turned to see an old man walking towards him…

Old Man: Son, Where are you going…
Boy: Uncle I am going towards the Church road…You need any help..
Old Man: Boy, I have been waiting here for long time for a bus and I need to urgently reach the Hospital near Church Road…Can you please drop me there…
Boy: Sure Uncle…Please climb back…

And so the ride started…the boy was continuously talking to the man…and he answered some questions as if he was not interested and soon he didn’t bother to answer also…The boy guessed, maybe he is not interested in a conversation…and they went on…Soon they reached the Hospital Entrance…the boy stopped the bike and said, “Uncle, here is your place…Please get down…”..Hearing no response, he turned… All he saw was the old man getting vaporized and disappearing into thin air…He was dead struck…

Soon he heard from his friends that few months back, at the same place where this boy picked the man, i.e. at the bus stop… “An Old man had died in a Bike accident when he was travelling with his teenage grand son”…and it is believed that the Old man still asks for lifts from Teenage boys in that area….

Soon this horrific experience found it’s way to the ears to all the college mates…most of the young boys were scared to even go near that bus stop during odd hours of the day...and ofcourse never with their bikes…

One day, a boy had some urgent issue and he HAD to go to that bus stop early morning to pick one of his friend…He was scared from head to toe and with prayers he waited for his friend…Suddenly he heard some one asking him… “Hey Son, Can you drop me at the Hospital near Church Road..”…Terrified to hell, he didn’t even turn to see who it was…He just started his bike and shooted his way off from that nasty place…and soon he reached his house…and he braked and stopped his bike…

He got down from his bike and was just about to put it on the stand, when he heard “Son, Thank you for the lift….” and all he saw was a distorted figure vanishing into the air…

The boy fainted…

(Ghosts Stories…my all time favorite… not that I was a fearless girl…but then I loved to listen to such stories with much excitement…I loved watching horror movies even when my heart was thumping against my chest as if it might come out any moment…I loved reading horror books and share them with friends…all in all…I was an ardent fan of Ghost stories…(as far as I don’t have a face to face experience with Ghosts, I am fine, I Suppose…) The above is one such story I heard from my cousins years back...Maybe I was just 10years or so...my cousin claim that this had happened to his friend in real life…God knows if he or his friend was bluffing…Anyways...I wouldn't myself ever go anywhere near that Bus Stop...lol!!! by the by, the picture above is only for illustration and my imagination of how it would have been...)
