Please, be with us...

The distance I walked, was nothing less than a world record for me. Can’t believe that, the me who always lived my life for others; the way they wanted, today has started a journey of my own… In quest of the long-lost happiness and joy, that this life could bestow on me. Today, I stepped out of my past to build a new future. A hope filled, promising future.

I know, the journey ahead is not going to be easy. With the tag of being someone’s wife still choking me, the number of fingers pointing at me have only increased with every passing day. Thru every night that I cried my heart out, I could feel the warmth of a hug and a soft voice that said, “Mamma, don’t worry, I am with you. You are not doing anything wrong. You should only need to be happy and need not adjust for other’s happiness.”

Those weren’t words I wanted to hear from my son. Those were words, I wanted to hear from my family. Forget the world, but I wished if my father, my mother or atleast my brother; even once said those words to me, atleast to comfort me, calm me, console me. They didn’t. Instead, they kept pointing out the fact that society doesnot work this way and being a female, I am expected to adjust and compromise… not this much but even more. Today, tomorrow and even for all the days that I might witness.

Their inability to understand me didn’t hurt as much as their hostility in handling my depressed heart. The harsh words poked me. The insults killed me. The emotional blackmails squeezed me. I had two options. Give up on the hope to be happy and live as I did all these years…Or to take all the pain and then make them my strength to seek my happiness.

Today, I finally walked out. It was not just out of a house. It was out of a system, a society, a life, a family. I walked out of everything that had crushed me and my hopes to live… I have a big responsibility ahead of me, my son. I will not let him down. I was his super hero Mom always. I had to be strong. But ask me, if I am strong enough to go thru the past days again, I will run away… Can’t even imagine, how I had the courage to do what I did. To stand up for myself.

But hereon, what and how, I don’t know? But, I finally stood up for myself. I have unbelievably marked the start of this journey and may the almighty guide me thru to the safe, comforting shelter of his love and peace…. Praying that his presence be with me and my son…

Please, be with us…

My New Home...

So…finally, I shifted into my new apartment…a real spacious one…gosh!!! I feel I am staying at somebody else’s house…shifting from my old house which was more like a chicken pen…You make one step forward you reach the kitchen..one step to your left and there you are at your bedroom…one step to your right and you can take your seat in the sofa in the dining cum hall room…it was really a congested place…but now, at my new place..I feel I am at an open playground...I feel strange…I need to literally take many more steps to reach the hall room or the kitchen or the bedroom…to be frank, I grew really lazy that now I find it really difficult to make my way outside my own room…and don’t even remind me of the routine cleaning to be done in this spacious apartment…I would be dead….

Anyways…the shifting and all the PROBLEMS AND ISSUES that came along with the process really exhausted me of all the energy I had from the week before…Wish, I owned a Robot, who did everything reading my mind…bcoz honestly, I am dead tired to even open my mouth and instruct him what to be done…I wish I had a long long vacation from office, so that I could really get a gooooooood long sleep…and make myself to get along with the new home…Alas, vacation is one thing I wouldn’t be getting…atleast not for another few weeks…till then I would be sitting in front of the Computer holding myself from dozing off and hitting myself against the keyboard...

What ever said and done…keep aside all the tensions of shifting…the new home did give a big mental peace…at heart, I feel, a new beginning is right here…a fresh start…with good things to come my way and ward off all bad things away from my life…(now, here I hope, I can forget the irritation somebody gave me as soon as I shifted... for some stupid reason she had….Godddd!!!…at times, I really imagine, what is it that I can do for her to be satisfied and happy…she has the most silliest demands and the most unbelievable character and above all the most thankless nature…in the last 4 years of my association with her…that’s what I learnt about her…and every time I try changing my outlook of her, she find some way to reinstall it back in me…)

Anyways…I wasn’t talking about her…and prefer I don’t go forward with a discussion on HER…maybe some other time…and if I start writing about “My Encounters with HER”…I might have to write in a whole book…lol!!!

Back to “shifting story”…somehow, till date, almost all the house shifting that I have gone through was for sad or bad or maybe desperate reasons…Maybe some day, I would bring myself up to write about those days of my life…But this time, I did it for a better reason…something that was done on choice and not due circumstances…and I really hope and pray to god to let me soon shift to a New Home…a Home that can be called MY DREAM HOME…Maybe god stay with me to fulfill my long cherished dream of building my own home…and I am sure, that would be the best and happiest phase of my life…

Between, you can also pray for me...If you have a direct connection with him, the Almighty, please request him to fulfill my dream ASAP…lol!!!

Can you lend me some Money???

Its been long time I couldn’t get myself to jot down something on my blog…felt really lazy and above that exhausted and sleepy…At work place – things weren’t hectic…rather had a slow paced week…but then ‘the after-work hours’ and the week ends just drilled out all the energy I had in my mind and body….haaaaaaa….I AM TIRED…

House Shifting…Yeah…after hunting the whole place down…finally I ended up liking one apartment that suited the budget, facilities, traffic and location…the rent was FINE when compared to many others…but it didn’t take much time for me to realize all those Hidden Expenses that came along with this PLANNING OF SHIFTING…Deposits, Commissions, Electricity, Water, Municipality and so onnnnnnn….the list was tooo long that I myself lost track…Thus went down the drains my ONLY ONE RESOLUTION for this year…

Yeah, at heart, I had one BIG resolution for this year… I would save half of my salary every month and by the end of the year, I will be equipped with enough money to start up on my long cherished dream of owning my DREAM HOME…Its just the end of the first month, I am already over with my salary remaining + I had to borrow money from my friend….Great…the best way to start a new month, a new year…this is why they say…”Never count the chickens before the eggs are hatched…”..uhmm…

Good for ME that my friend had that extra amount with him to lend me…Bad for him that No longer does he have that extra money with him…bcoz I borrowed it…lol!!! Happily I took it…Sadly he gave it…and now he has to wait sadly for me to return it…and then one day, Sadly I have to return it… so , right?

Along with this discussion of money, he told me an interesting story…about one of his friend…I felt the story was cool…but the HERO of the story - a Rascal…haha!!! So the story goes on like this …

This friend of my friend is a high profile professional gentleman…a big amount gets debited to his account from his company every month end as salary… still…this guy is in need of money…Always… He used to borrow money from my friend every month and then return it regularly…and then borrow again…this was more like a routine on a regular basis…My friend too happily gave him the money as the Gentleman never made a default in paying back…. “What harm in helping a Friend in Need…” my friend (might have) thought…

One fine evening, it so happened that this Gentleman and my friend sat together to have a peg…lol!!! (this proves why you are not supposed to drink with friends if you have secrets to hold on to…lol!!!)… They had some rounds of drinks…and soon my friend was shocked to hear a sudden revelation from the Gentleman…My friend had to literally open his mouth in awe…

Ha…!!! So what actually happened was…In the intoxicated state the “Gentleman” blurt
ed out that as soon as the salary gets debited, he withdraws the whole amount and transfer it to a different personal account as a saving. For his expenses, he borrows from my friend and then later returns it by borrowing the amount from another friend. Then he takes money from my friend again to pay back the other friend…This cycle of 'rolling money' has been going on for quite some time now…

After narrating this to me, my friend breathed out a heavy sigh…“Uhhh...Am I not an idiot…I was helping a Friend in Need…and he turned out to be INDEEEEEEEEED a FRIEND…He is saving money and WHAT DOES HE THINK… I DON’T NEED TO SAVE…”…

At heart, I said, “You should have asked that to him…by the by, why did you say this story now…I didn’t borrow to roll over the money…I took it for genuine reasons…TRUST ME…”… But then I said nothing…I just giggled…had a hearty laugh…imagined a cartoon picturisation of my friend listening to the Gentleman’s version of Money Rolling…

By the by….Now, I need to return my friend’s money…ASAP

“Can one of you lend me some money….?”
